In all our craziness . . . we are still alive!!!!

With all the things that have been going on in our life I haven't really had a chance to think. At least that is how I feel. So much has changed and it has been a huge adjustment, and we are still adjusting.  Ryan, is a full time dad and student now at MCC working towards getting into the nursing program.  I am a full time mother and employee of Wells Fargo.  I recently took a promotion that was a much needed blessing.  As many of you know, Ryan lost his job back in May.  It has been 4 months and he still has not found a job after submitting about 400 resumes and applications.  This really is not a market to be looking for a new job.  When he couldn't get a job my family had a family fast for us and we prayed about it that night and got our answer.  We felt very strongly that he needed to focus on school and I would work full time until he is done.  We now realize what a blessing it was that I didn't quit my job after having Kayden, because they were able to give me more hours during those months.  So, anyway, I took a promotion and I am no longer in a branch.  I am working in Store Accounting Support (SAS) as an Operations Processor.  That crazy thing about this is that I have been wanting to work in Operations since I started at WF, but I had never been presented with the chance.  The day after the fast I went to work and was looking at jobs and there were a couple of jobs that I thought would be awesome if I got it.  I applied for a total of 5 jobs and only got declined from one.  I had 4 phone interviews and one personal interview (with another one scheduled) over a two week span.  A couple of days after the personal interview I was offered a job and I gave my 1 1/2 week notice.  My manager was aware that I was looking for a job and he was there when I got the call.  He was awesome and fully supported me in everything I did.  It is so crazy how things fall into place.  I know it is because I have the gospel in my life and the spirit in my home.  We have been so blessed and although it has been hard, it has been good at the same time.  I will be in training for SAS until the end of October.  It is really intense training and the first 2 weeks I dreamed about it every night.  Now, I am so tired that I fall asleep at night and don't hear my alarm in the morning.  My brain is on overload!!!

I enjoy coming home to Kayden and Ryan.  Kayden is growing like CRAZY.  He is the most precious little guy, although he is into biting EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.  He bit his little cousin, Landon, and left marks.  It is not very fun disciplining him when he bites, but we know he needs to learn.  He crawls REALLY fast now and walks if he has something to hold on to.  He is getting more brave and actually took 4 steps the other day.  He just laughs when we clap at him though.  We got him a little toy that he can push around and walk with and he uses it all the time.  He loves it.  Ryan's mom and sister and occasionally my sister watch Kayden while Ryan is at school and Kayden seems to enjoy visiting all the different places.
Well, I want to get to bed tonight so I will put a little caption by the pictures then be done for the night.

This is the toy I was talking about!  Kayden loves being outside and babbling all the way.  When we walk towards the door he gets so excited he almost jumps out of our arms.  He loves watching the cars on the other side of the church. (It is a pretty busy street and he thinks the cars are so cool!)
I love playing with Kayden's hair.  His hair still has a little bite of curl to it.  I would love it if he always had curly hair.
Kayden is OBSESSED with computers and the other day at Ryan's parents it was really quiet and so I went to see what he was doing and this is how I found him.  YUP, he had pulled the keyboard down and was typing an email!!!!
I thought it would be cute to put Kayden in the dryer and he was trying to close the door.  It was so funny.
Same as above but trying to climb out this time.
Being superman, I guess.  He does this all the time and he growls when he does it, but it is the funniest thing in the whole world.
He woke up with his hair like this one day.  I thought Ryan had intentionally put it in a fohawk.
I love his eyes in this picture!
Walking again!
Playing with his one favorite buddies, Landon.  They chase each other around.  Deena, Aaron, and Landon are going to be moving closer to us.  Actually right across our grass.  It will be nice to have them so close.
Brooke enjoying a not so common treat!
Ryan and I were trying to get ready and Kayden wouldn't let us . . . so we built a barricade out of random things and I went in the room to check on Kayden and he was like this trying to get out.  It looks like he is laughing, but he was REALLY mad about it.
Here is a little better picture of his little 'superman' move he does.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Congrats on the new job. I hope that everything goes okay with that and Ryan's schooling. Kayden is so cute. I can't believe he is already walking. Aubree only walks along the furniture and she is already 1. Crazy how time flies. Hope you like the new job as much as you hoped.
