Chicken Nuggets and Ketchup

Recently we have realized that Kayden loves 'dunking' his food. He especially loves ketchup, possibly another Karl on our hands. You will see in the pictures at how well he is at dunking his food. Or should I say his finger. The little stinker will sit in his chair and dunk his finger into the ketchup and suck it off his finger...He didn't dunk the chicken nuggets into the ketchup until I got him a fork to use to do it. It was pretty darn crazy and funny. He was a mess. I have to let him get messy once in a while because it drives me crazy to have him dirty. He is a total boy though and will get messy at any cost. I thought this was especially cute though. My cute dirty, covered in ketchup boy~How I love my little rugrat!

This one was right before he got stripped down and put in the bath.  Notice the cup holder with the ketchup...That was full when I first put the ketchup in it!
I was his favorite at the time...You should have seen the look he gave me when I put the ketchup on his tray...He was in awe!
There goes the finger dunk...
And the finger licking....YUMMY!
Notice how full the ketchup was towards the beginning.

Now another story...The other day I was playing with Kayden and I was laying on my side on the living room floor and Kayden grabbed my face with his cute little, chubby hands and planted a big ole' smackeroo right on the smackers.  It was so cute.  I think he sees Ryan and I kiss and thinks that is what he has to do as well.  But I have noticed since that if he really wants something and saying, "pweese" won't get it for him...He gives me a kiss.  That gets my attention obviously!  He is so fun and is getting so big, but the fits have started and while they may look hilarious they are so embarrassing when he does them in church and you have to fight with him!

Kayden and the bike trailer

Well, this weekend we bought a bike trailer. I have been going back and forth from the bike seat for Kayden or the trailer...I decided to do the trailer because the seat wouldn't work with my bike because the seat has shocks on it. So here are some pictures of the cute little guy in the trailer. They are taken from Ryan's phone so they aren't the greatest! We bought him the helmet for him to wear when we go out of our neighborhood.  He doesn't like it because he can't walk with it on.  It is too heavy.  He tried to dance with it on and totally biffed it!
This is him saying please over and over again because we would stop and he didn't want us to!
I didn't know Ryan was taking a picture of me or I wouldn't have been talking to him! LOL  oh well.  Kayden had a blast and we loved it!

Christmas, New Years and Denver...PHEW

Happy Holidays...I hope that you all had a great holiday. We really enjoyed the holiday season. On Christmas we got up and opened presents at our place then went over to Ryan's parents and Kayden got super spoiled over there. I got a bike for Christmas, but I haven't had a chance to ride it because we need to take it in because one of the brakes is sticking. I have been really anxious to ride though. I can't wait to ride. I bought Ryan a new wedding band. He has lost so much weight that he would have his arm around me and his other ring would fall right off. I got a really good deal on this ring and I am glad that I got it for him. He was so surprised. We got Kayden a dump truck, building blocks, a book, and a movie. I think next year he will really enjoy Christmas. This year it got old after two gifts. Ryan's parents got me a purse and a really cool picture frame, a framed picture of the first presidency, and a food dehydrator. I am excited to use the dehydrator for the first time tomorrow! I bought apples to slice and dry!

For New Years we went to Ryan's grandparents and had mexican food and did a white elephant exchange. That was a lot of fun. The day after new years we went to Denver for Portia's baptism on Saturday and little Rebekah Jane's blessing on Sunday. We had a blast, but wish we could have stayed longer.
While we were there Kayden got to running a fever again. Poor little guy was running a fever and fell down the stairs and bonked his head. On Saturday night Kayden woke up and started coughing then started throwing up. He got it all over me and himself, but got a tiny drop on the sheets. My niece, Portia, was grossed out that someone had thrown up on her bed. It was pretty funny. Ryan gave Kayden a blessing after he had dosed off again and Kayden woke up in the morning and has been just fine since. The power of the priesthood is so amazing.
Well, just like normal...I am going to over load you with pictures.... ENJOY!!!!
Kayden enjoyed Santa the second time so much better than the first!
For Ryan's extended family party the kids acted out the Christmas story.  Kayden was one of the shepherds.  A darn cute one at that!
Ryan went to a Colorado Avalanche game while in Denver...It is out of order I know...I'm still trying to figure this thing out!
Ryan's Aunt had the painting done for the activity.  How do you like that cute little lamb...  I just noticed him.  Isn't he cute?  That is Varis...he is a month older than Kayden, but they were due the same day.
Can you see Camilla?  I was trying to hide.  It didn't work so well
On Christmas, Brooke was pushing her dolly around in Kayden's new tractor.
At Zoo lights with Ryan's family.
Richard and Portia at the hockey game.
My dad, Ryan, and Portia.  Portia was in heaven.
Sugar high?  I think so!
Leaving for the baptism.  Kayden had his cute little suit on that I got at JcPenney for $5.  What a deal!
Richard and Portia at the baptism.  This is the sweetest picture.
I know it is blurry, but it is still really precious.  I actually didn't post the one that I fixed so it wasn't blurry.  This is my little Rebekah Jane Prescott.  She is the sweetest little thing.
The picture they had done in her blessing dress didn't turn out so we did our own photo shoot.  I think they turned out pretty good.
Kicking her legs and swinging her arms.
Ryan and Kayden out in the snow.
Little Bekah and I.  Isn't she so cute.  She is super tiny as well.

Family Picture Time

Here are some of our family pictures.  I realized I had put them on facebook, but I hadn't put them on here for the people who don't have facebook.  Sorry!  My friend Erin took them and I think she did a fabulous job!  She is hoping someday to do it professionally.  Thanks Erin for doing them for us!
I look preggo in this one.  I assure you that I am not.  It was just how my shirt was laying.
You will find that Ryan and I do a lot of watching!
One of my faves!  Kayden is just looking a little grouchy!
I love how he has slobber dripping from his chin.  This is a classic Kayden picture because he is always slobbering.  I wish those darn teeth would just come in already!
He thought he was running from us!
Eating rocks... LOL
If we didn't touch him he did just fine.  He is so independent!
One of my faves of the little guy!
Love these pictures.  It is nice not having to pose!
Love this one as well.!
His famous smile!
Look at those killer eyes!
My favorite family picture!
A nice view of our booties, but such a cute picture!
My VERY, VERY favorite picture!  We are all smiling.  This is not Ryan's favorite, but it is by far mine.

Hope you enjoy!

The Amazing Celine Dion

The best picture of Celine I got with my phone!
This shows the whole stage!
So for my birthday back in April, Ryan bought me tickets to the Celine Dion concert.  I thought that it would never come, but it was this past weekend and it was a blast.  So LeeAnn stayed with Kayden and Ryan took me out to dinner and then we went to the concert.  So Ryan had bought me the cheapest tickets because they were so expensive.  We were on the last road in the whole stadium, but I didn't care because I was at the concert.  So we get up to the door and the guy scans our tickets and he said that they were no good.  We were like ... "WHAT???"  Then the guy said, "It is saying that you need to go see Customer Service because you have been upgraded to the lower bowl."  I didn't believe him.  So we went to customer service and sure enough...we had been upgraded to the lower bowl.  We were like 20 rows away from the stage.  It was amazing.  Even better is that Celine has so much energy and puts on the best show.  I would recommend it to anyone.  The only thing I regret is that it said no cameras so I didn't take mine and EVERYONE had a camera.  So I took some pictures and videos with my phone so they are just going to have to do!

Also, Mohammad Ali was there.  They had him stand up.  He wasn't doing to well health wise, but he had a huge smile on his face and looked so happy to be there!  Thanks Ryan for a great night!  You are the best!

Here is a little video. Sorry it isn't better. I wish I had taken my camera!

I love this age the best...so far!

I think I have said that about ONE MILLION times, but it is true.  Although we have to discipline now and that isn't so fun, but it still somehow ends up being a highlight of the day because of what Kayden does in time out.  I have so many things that I would like to say about Kayden, but remembering everything is going to be the trick!  So here it goes!

FIRST:  Kayden is talking like crazy.  He says all sorts of words from Kuku (his favorite) to tickle.  He loves to talk and acts like he knows what he is saying.  He says school, Jesus, tickle, Dada, Gaga (his blankey and GRANDMA), Taytay, Mallory, Kylie, Elyse, Deena, Papa, Ty, Brookie, and Landon.  Those are the ones he says daily.  If you ask him to say something he sure tries.  If you ask him where daddy is he says school.  If you ask him where Jesus is he finds a picture.  I love it.

SECOND:  Last Sunday Ryan and I were sitting on our bed just watching Kayden play after his morning bottle.  Kayden started doing this little bobble head move and since then when we tell him to dance he does this.  He seriously looks like a little bobble head.  It is rather comical.  THEN to add to it he started doing another move yesterday.  He bounces up and down, but he just bends his knees.  It is so funny to watch him.

THIRD:  Today LeeAnn, aka Kuku, was watching him and she obviously wasn't doing that great of a job (kind of like drowning a child...she's good at that...no not really...family joke).  ANYWHO!  She decided that he was hungry so she went and got some baby food out of the cupboard.  Well, Kayden was eating it out of desperation of starvation!  She realized this and decided to get him some chicken nuggets.  So she set the bottle of baby food down and was getting the chicken nuggets ready.  When she turned around he had grabbed the bottle and was drinking the baby food.  He must have been really hungry.

FOURTH:  Like I said above Kayden has been having to be disciplined.  It isn't fun, but it can be really funny.  It is really hard for Ryan and I to keep a straight face sometimes.  Tonight Kayden bite Ryan so Ryan put him in time out.  Kayden was being really quiet so I stuck my head in his room to see what he was doing thinking he may have fallen asleep.  (It hadn't been very long though!)  He was holding on to the side of his crib doing his new little dance move.  Then to top it off he would stop dancing and start clapping for himself.  It was so funny.  He finally heard Ryan and I laughing at him.  When we got him out he tried to bite Ryan again and Ryan got a little mad at him, but I just started laughing because Ryan has a hard time getting mad at him.

So here are the overload of pictures that I usually do.  I'm sorry I just post pictures in one post for the sake of time.  I don't have much of it!

Our cute little Tree...I put it in the corner and so far Kayden has been really good at not touching it very much.  He knows he can only have one ornament at a time off the tree.
I liked how my shelves turned out.  Especially the bottom shelf.  We still need to buy a stocking for Kayden.
For Thanksgiving Ryan's Uncle Gary had a bounce house and Kayden loved it.
You definitely don't get the effect of this picture.  These are Ryan's old shorts that were getting too small for him when he decided to loose weight.  Now they can't even stay up.
Kayden stood by the freezer and would touch the ice and say, "OOOOOO" for cold.
Great Grandma Workman came from Canada for a week and this was the best picture we could get of all of them.  1 Year OLDS!!!!  They just don't hold still for pictures!
Mike got in a motorcycle accident in Sept. and his leg hasn't healed as fast as he would like.  But it is coming along.  This is Mike, Brooke, and Alexis.  Alexis is Mikes niece.
Grandma Workman loved Santa she got her picture with him and she would say he was her boyfriend.
Kayden loved Santa...Can you tell!
Landon was confused about the beard, but I thought this was a classic Landon picture.  He is a very inquisitive little guy.  Tonight I got Landon to jump and he fell right on him bum.  It was pretty funny.  He would copy everything I did.

I hope the holiday season finds you all well.  Remember the reason for the season and have a Happy and Safe Holidays.
