I told Gayle tonight that I had to update my blog tonight, because Kayden is doing so many new things everyday. He had Ryan, Mark, Gayle and I in stitches tonight. He was so funny. He is getting to the age where he loves putting on a show! Anyway, tonight we were eating and Kayden did something and Ryan started clapping his hands. Well, Kayden has NEVER clapped his hands and Brooke always tries to teach him how, but tonight...he clapped his hands and it was like he was doing it in slow motion. You could tell by the look on his face that he was focusing so hard on making his hands touch.

OK is OKAY
We had the chance to go to Oklahoma this past week to see my brother and his family. He has 4 boys and they are a blast!!!! Ryan and I flew out last Wednesday night after work and Ryan came home Sunday morning and I came home Tuesday afternoon. We had a nice relaxing week! It was great! Kayden loved the 'doddy' (doggy) and loved being able to play outside all the time. He did cut a tooth while we were there so he was a little on the fussy side. My brother was so busy while we were there! He is working 6 days a week and on Sunday he had meetings since he is the young mens president! But I really enjoyed seeing him when I was able to! Dana is a busy mother... she homeschools her children! She is SO amazing! She is so patient and is so excited to teach her children! They love being homeschooled, but Dana is pretty hard core so they have to work really hard! My nephews are getting so big! Jacob will be 12 in July, Micajah will be 10 in February, David will be 8 in February, and Zac will be 4 in May! They all love the super heros. Jacob is an amazing artist and reader, Micajah is VERY athletic and a great writer, David can do store problems in his head as you read them to him, and Zac loves singing and being a super hero!

My baby is ONE! Where did this year go?
Yup, that is right... Kayden is one and I am one in shock parent. So much to remember and so much to worry about. Am I doing things right. Am I going to know how to handle situations when they come up? I can't believe he is a year old. I couldn't be a happier mother though. He is the best little guy. So I have decided to give 12 reasons we love him, but there are so many more...
1. He has a smile that melts your heart.
2. He is so tough. Things that you would think would hurt a child, don't bother him.
3. He loves to laugh. If you laugh, he laughs.
4. He is a well of knowledge.
5. He loves to point at EVERYTHING. It is so cute.
6. He loves people, especially his cousins... Brooke and Landon.
7. He loves to hold my hand and walk beside me.
8. He plays so good by himself sometimes I forget he is around.
9. He still loves to take naps.
10. He kicks his legs when he is excited.
11. He always waits outside for me to get home from work.
12. He is ours and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Kayden's Date with Aunt Kuku
LeeAnn (a.k.a. Aunt Kuku) took Kayden the Mother Nature's Farm to the pumpkin patch. Kayden had a blast. Afterwards, she took him to Applebees. He had a blast and when he got home he slept for 4 hours. He was so tuckered out! Thank you Aunt Kuku, you are the best!Kayden walks all over, but I think this is so cute for 2 reasons! He is pointing and he has his arms up in the air!
Always thinking...
So serious...
I love this picture because I can tell that he is loving what he is doing!
Kayden, the horse! This one is for you Mark!

Happy Halloween
I didn't get too many pictures of Kayden in his costume, but the ones I did get were really cute! He was the cutest little giraffe I have ever seen in my life. I will try to get a copy of him crawling away from someone else, but I may just put him back in his costume so you all can get the whole effect of his costume! This giraffe doesn't like to be held! That is for sure!
That binkie makes his eyes look more blue then they really are!
He loves being outside!

60 and counting ...
I am so proud of my hubby! He weighs in on Friday mornings and as of this morning he is down 60 lbs. He has been waiting for this day since he started. He thought 50 was big, but you should have seen his reaction this morning.
GREAT JOB RYAN! I LOVE YOU!
Keep up the good work..
(If you don't know Ryan's story... look at two posts down! He is amazing!)

Kayden's First Camp out . . . My last . . . J/K
I don't know how many of you know how much I dislike camping . . . but this trip actually wasn't bad. We went up to Camp Lo Mia (where all the girls camps are for our church) and it was a lot of fun. I left work early on Friday and we were able to head up there and were there by 4:30. It was a lot cooler up there, but it felt nice. They leaves were changing colors and it felt like fall. It was beautiful. We went there for the annual ward camp out. Ryan and I are on the activities committee so we helped with some of the planning. I felt like we were packing for a week long vacation, because I didn't know how cold it was going to be there so I didn't want Kayden or I to get cold. Needless to say, I packed way to much. I think that it was better safe than sorry. Kayden was the only baby in our cabin that slept through the night. We didn't get much sleep, but it wasn't because of the other kids... I hate that plastic on the beds. Every time any one moved it was so loud. We got home early afternoon on Saturday and Ryan has been working on homework since. I took a couple of new pacifiers with me and I handed Kayden them to play with before I took them out of the package and he thought that he could suck on them. It was so funny. He couldn't figure out why he couldn't get them in his mouth!
He slept most of the way up there. I was glad because I knew he wouldn't be taking his evening nap. He was the first baby to bed that night and the last one to wake up!
I forgot to turn this picture the right way, but this is Kayden's friend, Max Gannon. He is so cute! His mom is the head of the activities committee and so we were in the same cabin. We just found out that Rachel (the mother of Max) and I are cousins. What a small world!
Kayden loved this glow stick that he found.
I guess I need to teach Kayden how to defend himself. He just laid there while Max tried to wrestle him.
I tried this whole trip to get a good picture of Kayden and Ryan finally got this one... with his camera.Kayden loved getting dirty. I had to keep telling myself that it was okay.
He ate leaves as well. Crazy kid.
Aren't his gloves so cute?
So sleepy!
Gotta love that laugh!
He loved being part of Explorer Unit 449 or 445 or 567 or whatever number Ryan decides to make up!
Kayden is walking but I think he was kind of intimidated because all the other kids walked so well that he couldn't keep up. He tried though.
It was a fun little trip! So glad I decided to go!
